Privacy Policy

Last updated July 18, 2026

Dyvvy (“we”, “us”) helps people split restaurant bills. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Dyvvy iOS app and dyvvy.app, how we use it, and your choices — including account deletion.

Who this covers

Hosts who create an account in the Dyvvy app, and guests who open a shared table link on the web (guests can claim items without installing the app or creating a full account).

Information we collect

  • Account profile: display name, Dyvvy username, email (if you sign up with email), Sign in with Apple identity, optional Venmo username for settlement links.
  • Bill & session data: receipt line items, claims, tips/tax, group membership, and ledger balances needed to split and settle.
  • Receipt images: photos you choose to scan. Processing happens on your device for OCR; we store the resulting line items with your session, not a permanent photo library on our servers unless you keep a session that retains a local draft on device.
  • Device & notifications: push notification tokens if you enable alerts.
  • Purchases: subscription status is managed through Apple In‑App Purchase and RevenueCat so we can unlock Dyvvy Pro features. We do not receive your full payment card details.

How we use information

  • Provide splitting, claiming, groups, and ledger features.
  • Authenticate you and keep your data across devices.
  • Send optional push notifications you request.
  • Process and restore Dyvvy Pro entitlements.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

Sharing

Session participants see names, claims, and amounts needed for that table. We use service providers that process data on our behalf — including Supabase (auth & database) and RevenueCat (subscriptions). We do not sell your personal information.

Retention & deletion

You can delete your account in the Dyvvy app under Account → Delete Account. That removes your auth identity and associated Dyvvy profile data we store (hosted sessions, ledger rows tied to you, group membership, and related records that cascade with your account). Apple subscriptions are separate — cancel them in iOS Settings / App Store if you no longer want to be billed.

Children

Dyvvy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
